About

Eramosa Herbals is the community herbalism practice of Danielle Gehl Hagel, an herbalist, naturalist, artist and medicine-maker working at the confluence of the Eramosa and Speed Rivers on the traditional territories of the Mississauga of the Credit (Treaty 3) territory in Guelph, Ontario. For the past seven years, I’ve been growing medicinal plants and making high-quality, accessible remedies available across southern Ontario. With a focus on bioregional herbalism, healing justice, and ecology of plant and human communities, Eramosa Herbals explores how herbal medicines can help remediate our relationships with our bodies, the land and each other.

As a naturalist and herbalist, working with plants on the land has been one of my best and most constant teachers. I've also studied with many mentors and schools, including the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine (North Carolina), Viriditas (Toronto), Living Earth School (Vaughn, ON) and the East West School (United States), and interned at the Althea Herb Farm (Guelph, ON).

It's my intention that these offerings will help facilitate deep, nourishing relationships with plant medicine. Thanks for stopping by!
